Warranty
If you have a warranty issue, please contact us via email first. We have a free reply service available for this purpose.
All items you purchase from us are covered by the statutory warranty. Statutory warranty means that a product must meet the reasonable expectations of the consumer regarding its functionality and quality. Some products may also include a manufacturer’s warranty. This warranty does not affect the statutory warranty.
The warranty on your purchased item may vary. When claiming your warranty, it is important to check the warranty period starting from the date listed on your invoice and/or proof of purchase. At www.barberfriends.com, we have two main product categories:
- Consumables, such as care and styling products.
- Tools, such as clippers, scissors, straighteners, curling irons, hairdryers, split-enders, etc.
For consumables, there is no manufacturer’s warranty beyond the 14-day withdrawal period. For tools, warranty does not cover wear-and-tear components such as blades or the natural wear of scissors. For tools and electronics, you generally have a 2-year warranty (for consumers), unless otherwise stated on the warranty document provided with the product.
We care about our products and do our utmost to deliver them to you in top condition. However, it may happen that an order is damaged during transport or that there is another issue that entitles you to a warranty claim. Under European law, we are liable for any lack of conformity that becomes apparent within two years of delivery. You may have additional rights under Dutch law.
If you discover or should have discovered a defect in the product, you must contact us within a reasonable period. A reasonable period is at least two months. In some circumstances, a longer period may also be acceptable.
If you contact us in time, we will ensure the issue is resolved with a free repair or replacement.
Complaints
It may occasionally happen that things do not go as planned. We recommend that you first make your complaints known to us by emailing info@barberfriends.com.
We will do everything possible to satisfy you. If this does not resolve the issue, it is possible to submit your dispute for mediation via Stichting WebwinkelKeur at https://www.webwinkelkeur.nl/kennisbank/consumenten/geschil.
Since February 15, 2016, it has also been possible for consumers in the EU to file complaints through the ODR platform of the European Commission. This ODR platform can be found at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/main/index.cfm?event=main.home2.show&lng=NL. If your complaint has not yet been addressed elsewhere, you are free to submit it via the European Union platform.
